| The head of this Buddha statue is
covered with hundreds of small pointed hairlock called "Shwebo-thorns", on top of which is attached an onion-like stupa-shaped "flame". The breast is covered with a rope with overlapping folds and decorated bands, which also cover the right shoulder and the left arm. At the back of the thone is a rectangular opening (niche) in which relics or the ashes of the decreased were kept............ |
