| This example is of wood, which has
then been covered with red laquer-hinthabada, or cinnabar mixed with laquer sap. The swelling urn-like element set halfway up the spire is a distincive feature of this style of offering vessel. Despite the classic beauty of this type, Its region both of manufacture and of use is not certain. A recently published example is described as being from the Shan States. |
